Yash Chopra – All the goodbyes.


Veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra who gave Bollywood some of its biggest superstars passes away at 80 after suffering from dengue and multiple organ failure.



Known for his larger than life romantic movies, Chopra was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and died on Sunday. The funeral took place on October 22nd in Mumbai where several A list personalities like Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Ranbir with father Rishi Kapoor and Rekha were seen bidding farewell to the ‘King of Romance’. Also, several fans as well as media people were captured mourning and trying to get a last glimpse.




His career began as an Assistant Director and ultimately made him the legendary filmmaker of the Indian Cinema. Chopra had been working on his last project Jab Tak Hai Jaan starring SRK, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. In an interview he announced his retirement stating “I have always done what my heart has told me. I have done enough and I won’t be making any more films after Jab Tak Hai Jaan”. Before this Yashji gave us gave us some massive hits while in the directors seat such as Silsila, Dil to Pagal hai and the more recent Veer-Zaara. The legend will be sorely missed.
