XIC’s MADMA 2012
Have you updated your calendar for this weekend? On 11th and 12th of February, Xavier Institute of Communications is holding its first ever inter-collegiate, management and cultural fest, MADMA – Madness in Mass Communication. Why should you be there? Because we will make sure you have the time of your life. With workshops in Film Making, Creative Thinking and Ad-Jingle Making, from events like Film-Making (Cinemascope), CS Gaming (Strike-Out), Treasure Hunt, Radio ad making (Radio Gaga), Investigative journalism (Breaking News), Music from junk (Junkepella), spoofing the ads(Mock It Up), Print ad making (Copy and Art), Pitching your ads(The Pitch) and making Virals (Let’s Go Viral) to a Band Performance by Something Relevant, MADMA is all set to infect sanity with oodles of madness.
A great opportunity for students, MADMA will see industry and media celebrities like Josy Paul (NCD, BBDO India), Agnello Dias (NCD, Taproot),Ryan Mendonca (CD, O&M). Among others, Luke Kenny (Actor and Musician) will be a Judge for Junkepella. Saurabh Shukla shall speak about the role behind the camera, in the Film Making workshop. In our short film-making event- Cinemascope, the stories you tell, will be seen and critiqued by Onir (Director, My Brother Nikhil). Dancers, wear your dancing shoes and buckle up because your performances will be judged by Marzi Pestongi (Principal Dancer of the The Shiamak and Director,Operations of SDIPA) and Kainaz Motivala (Ragini MMS fame). Rj’s from Radio Mirchi will tell you if your radio jingle made them go Gaga. All music lovers, Randolph Correria of Pentagram will be there to teach you more about Ad Jingle Making. And to those who wonder where great ideas come from, Agnello Dias of Taproot, is coming to take you to the roots.
Workshops and Band Performances by Something Relevant and Ashwamedh will be held on the 12th of February. Bring out the genius in you and participate. Prizes worth Rs.2 lacs to be won!
