The smart phone craze among students is not showing any sign of slowing down. From the ever popular Blackberry to Samsung and what not, there is always some action in this sector. Let’s take a look at some of the phones students are waiting for and the heat of competition is really on.
Nokia Lumia 900:
After quite a long wait Nokia is finally back with its latest smart phone. Nokia has taken the wraps off with its 4G ready windows phone device with a 4.3 inch amoled touch screen. Most features like hardware, single piece poly carbonate construction, storage, OS, rear camera, and even the button placement are the same as the Lumia 800. The 900 however, adds front camera and gets a bigger battery
Huawei Ascend P1 S:
The P1 is the new slimmest phone in the world at just 6.7 mm thick. It runs Google’s Android 4.0 ( Ice cream sandwich) on a 1.5 Ghz dual core processor with 1 GB RAM, 4GB storage and 8 MP rear camera. It also has a 4.3 inch super amoled display and a large battery.
Sony Xperia & ION:
The new Ion & Xperia S have a heady mix of style and substance. Both have 1.5 Ghz dual core processors with 1 GB RAM and 16/32 Gb. Both have android 2.3 &a 12 MP camera that does 1080 p video. The Xperia S features a 4.3 inch display while Ion has a 4.6 inch display.
These are the phones which almost every student in my college is talking about and I am pretty sure to see them in someones possession very soon. There was a time when almost everybody had a Nokia with a few exceptions here and there but I guess times change and one cannot have brand loyalty when it comes to cell phones.
