Microsoft India Don 2 : Mission Berlin Contest
The final party of ‘Microsoft’s Meet & Greet SRK’ held at Taj Lands End this Wednesday evening saw King Khan ( late as usual! 😛 ) win over the hearts and whistles of one and all present.
Here’s why, the trip to Berlin was supposed to be won by only one family leaving all the others empty handed. The competition saw 18 year old Akanksha from Kanpur beat 13 year old Taren from Gurgaon. Poor Taren was left heartbroken, a hearty Shah Rukh couldn’t see this and he instinctively picked up the mike and declared he’ll send the 13 year old’s family to Berlin too.Joy on Taren’s face was magical. (maan gaye yaar..dil ho toh King Khan jaisa. )
The event was launched by Microsoft India as part of, ‘It’s a Great Time to be a Family’ campaign, it saw 5 families from all over the country get an opportunity to meet The Don himself. He shared a lot of interesting things with his fans. From how he won his school their first Computer to how technology has changed our lives, and how he spends a lot of time using it. (Only for playing games of course, he admits! :P) Looking forward to the partnership with Microsoft he was really wishing to see Bill Gates dancing with Lara and Priyanka, jokes Shah Rukh who was seen along with Mr.Amrish Goyal, Director, Windows Business Group, Microsoft India congratulating the families for winning the contest.
The host for the evening Gaurav Kapur kept us entertained with his new found sense of humor. Shah Rukh on the other hand seemed touched by the responses from his fans. When asked to say a dialogue from his movie Kal Ho Na Ho Shah Rukh couldn’t help but smile, eventually saying it, and bowing to a loving crowd. The fun filled evening slowly came to an end, the chairs pulled out and the lights switched off, all had been said and done. I guess little Taren like many others will never forget this evening for the joy of it, nor will Shah Rukh himself.
