This summer complete entertainment for cricket fanatic with IPL on television and Gully Premier League (GPL) Season II on Radio City 91.1 FM. This year GPL promised to be bigger, better and crazier than the last season and lived upto people’s expectations.
GPL is a platform which promises cricket crazy fans to showcase their talents. To make it memorable, this year there will be double entertainment quotient with a friendly match between celebrities and radio jockeys from Radio City.
The team of luminaries involved were Shaan, Babul Supriyo, Karan Wahi, Hanif Hillal, Meet Brothers, Vikas Kalantri and many more. On other hand rival RJs comprised of Salil, Gaurav, Palak, Archana and many more. The winners of the bout were the potential team of the celebs! The league was spiced up with interesting commentaries of RJ Kaushik.
GPL II extends across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Nagpur, Surat, Baroda, Vizag and Coimbatore. Gully Premier League is Radio City’s month long cricket extravaganza with four levels of matches – Qualifiers, Quarter Finals, Semi-finals and Finals between different regions of a city. A whopping total of 15,000 teams have registered across all these cities uptill now surpassing all expectations.

With the record number of teams that have registered, Gully Premier League can easily be called one of the biggest properties of Radio City. GPL is a month long activity with series of matches between different regions of the city. The tournament invites local cricket teams across streets of India to pitch against each other for the ultimate GPL trophy and a cash prize up to Rs 1 lakh which was won by the talented Ghatkopar team. Yea when it is about Cricket it is magnificent Mumbai which stood victorious all over India.
