To make a film on 80’s in 2011 is certainly not an easy task as a big risk is involved whether the concept will work or not.  But, Milan Luthria succeeds in delivering a brave and wonderful film like The Dirty Picture. The Dirty Picture is sure to strike a chord with the ardent moviegoer. The films stand out because of Rajat Aurora’s kickass script and awesome dialogues which kept the audience glued to the seat.
The enthralling screenplay and power-packed dialogue will remain engraved in our memory for a long, long time, provoking a similar response like Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.

The writing holds the spectators’ interest and doesn’t let you digress from the screen, except for a few minutes in the post-interval portions.

Vidya’s sizzling show and dare-bare act is sure to seize the viewers by complete astonishment. It’s a novel casting because it is nothing like what Vidya has done before and is completely diverse to her image. But let’s give Vidya the due: She delivers an astounding performance, pushing the envelope yet again.

Naseeruddin Shah as usual did justice to this role expectedly is brilliant playing an ageing South Indian superstar. He pulls of the role with panache. One has to credit Emraan Hashmi for willing to take on bold, aggressive characters. As usual Tusshar Kapoor had hardly anything to do in the film… Behen ki picture hai so ghusaaa diya…

Vishal-Shekhar as usual delivered awesome soundtrack. ‘Ooo La La’ is easily the song of the year sung brilliantly by Bappi da and Shreya Ghoshal], while ‘Ishq Sufiyana’ is trending all over the digital space.

To conclude, The Dirty Picture is an exceptional portrayal of an ordinary person’s rise from scrape to extraordinary heights and her subsequent fall. Without doubt, the film is all set to rock the box office just because of its one factor entertainment, entertainment and entertainment.

Dhinchak Mumbai gives The Dirty picture 4 and half out of 5 stars.
