Finally the much awaited Sallu’s Bodyguard hits the theatre across the country on this auspicious day of Eid. As salman says it his gift to all his fans. Power pack movie with lots of mind blowing actions , salman’s macho man look with amazing glairs everytime, Himesh Bhai’s superb music after a long time ; Eid cannot get better than this . Siddique is good with his direction work but it’s the salman’s charm which steals the entire show. If you wanna have the best experience of Bodyguard, please forget your comfy recliners chairs or your lovely multiplex seats. This movie can be best enjoyed in a single screen theatre packed with salman’s fans. I saw it today morning at a single screen theatre in central Mumbai (yes,I did see it in a single plex coz I wanted to enjoy the crowds whistle and all the nonsense comments in middle ; not because I missed the free press screening of movie and nor I am too kanjoos to spend Rs.300 in a multiplex)

The story revolves around bodyguard Lovely Singh (how gay :P ) played by Salman Khan who is sent to Jaisinghpur in order to guard Divya played by Kareena Kapoor. The strict but innocent bodyguard Lovely Singh (still it sounds gay) follow his orders very strictly and becomes a pain in divya routine life. So in order to play around with her bodyguard she decides to play a prank by calling him from an unknown number and starts flirting with him but accidently she falls in love with him. The villains – Aditya pancholi, Mahesh Majrekar  & Chetan Hansraj tries to kill to Divya because of her dad Sartaj Rana (Raj Babbar) and his order to free the bunch of girls who were exported to Thailand markets, which ruined their business and also one of the brother is killed by Lovely Singh during a fight . The story is somewhat a bhelpuri of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai , Ghajini and couple of south Indian movies put together. However the end is very much expected but audience enjoys that.

Himesh Reshamiya makes a comeback after such a long time. The last time I heard some good HR numbers was in his movie ‘Radio’ (I still can’t believe I saw that in theatre and wasted 200 bucks :p).’ I love you’ is however composed by Pritam and is very soothing to ears. The title track is amazing with the sizzling Katrina Kaif and Salman playing with his biceps. ‘Teri Meri’ and ‘Desi Beat’ are good but somehow not placed properly in the movie.

Salman this time plays a ground-to-earth bodyguard which is bit different from his last few movies (Thank god for some change J ). The action sequence by Sallu makes the crowd roar for more. VFX in all the action scenes is worth watching. Kareena is good with her acting but she has done such type of roles in various other movies too. There is hardly any scope to deliver a better performance for her in the movie. Not to forget the character Tsunami played by Rajat Rawail and his comic scenes. At certain points he is simply excellent however at certain scenes he is very irritating too. The villains are very average in this movie as the story revolves more around the love story than the fight scenes.

Overall, Bodyguard is decent movie. Audience will not be completely satisfied like in last few movies of Salman Khan. There are many loose end and certain scenes starts without any references. Dhinchak Mumbai will rate it to 2.5 Stars out of 5 just because of Salman Khan and the amazing music by Himesh Reshamiya. If you don’t get the tickets; wait until the tickets are available. Don’t buy tickets in black or pay extra for them that’s our advice!!!
